Timor-Leste Makes Top 10 List of Underrated Destinations to Visit in 2027

Dili, Timor-Leste, has been named in Intrepid Travel's annual Not Hot List, which recognises ten of the world's most exciting under-the-radar destinations to watch in 2027. Developed by the world's largest adventure travel company, the list highlights destinations that are ready to welcome more visitors, offer compelling new experiences and developments, and have strong potential for tourism to deliver positive benefits to local communities.

Following Timor-Leste’s recent admission to ASEAN, Intrepid’s 2027 Not Hot List positions its capital, Dili, as an emerging tourism destination, with new flights, upgraded infrastructure and community-led experiences making it easier to explore one of Southeast Asia’s least-visited destinations.
